With the $1000 budget I would suggest getting the Losi Ten-T and then maybe an elec or nitro ARR since the Losi 's DX3s is a 10 model memory all you would need is the receiver for other vehicles. Personally my next vehicle is going to be the TEN-T but not until it comes down a little in price then also get an elec truck maybe a SC.
