LM,
I still consider myself a newbie even though I have flown (mostly with a buddy box) a few times with my other plane (a nexstar). Are you suggesting I should say I'm experienced just because I've flown a few times. I'm not that nieve. What do you consider the RTF P-51 PTS to be. PTS stands for Progressive Trainer System.

I don't quite understand your attitude. I certainly didn't say anything that could have offended you. I don't know how you could have read anything from my post to mean I was suggesting you call yourself anything. You yourself said you were a newbie, and you are posting in the "beginners" forum. This leaves a chance that you might not have ever flown, so I was simply asking. It is a mote point now that you have informed us that it is your second plane , but I couldn't have known that.
I have flown this plane, and I still stand by my previous statement, that I feel that it is not the best plane to learn on. PTS might stand for "progressive trainer system" but a p-51 is a p-51. Calling it a trainer is just another way to sell the airplane.
Look forward to hearing about your flights with this airplane.
