well it could be the fuel your running i also have a redcat its the tornado bb 2speed and it has a sh .18 engine on it and ive already ran 5 gallons trough it and it still runs fine. i first started to use maxy's fuel then switched to oddonel because oddonel were i buy it is only 23 dollars (plus tax
