Hi Chilli,
Thanks for the information...and it's still ''work in progress'' on deciding what engine to power this model with. Please do post pictures of your engine mod to this airframe.

I did receive my ''Troy Built'' F6F retracts today. The quality of the wheels and struts are of first quality-wheel dia. is 4''. I'm still open to see how the air operated rotaters are, but the kit included everything you need to install the retracts into a model.

I will start on my wing first and I want to fit the landing gear, modify the flaps to be more scale and repaint the wings. Then install a retractable tail wheel into the fuse and beef up the tail section a bit.

Would a G38-lightened, with electronic ignition be to much power for this model ? Is the Solo 3-prop hub to big a scale for this size airframe, or would it work ok here ?

I've enclosed a few pictures of the ''Troy Built'' F6F retracts.

I would say not to worried about too much power in fact would be just about the right size for a good 3 blade scale wise but I think the cylinder would stick out a bunch. A G38 is kind of tall but that would be up to you. The DLE 30 I think would be a good match and be mostly in the cowl. The Solo prop hub is way to big for this size plane I have one and stuck it up to see after you asked and it is way to big. Hope that helps.
