I have yet to build a model that costs the same as or less than an ARF. Been building since about 1976. They didn't have ARF's then but recently I started buying them because I crash a lot and want to have something to fly while I am building. Just my 2 cents worth.
Sorry, but I'm a slimy ARF flyer. I don't have the skill, ability, or patience to try a kit build. Though one day I will try a kit. But then again, I compared the cost of a Sig kit to one of their ARF's and by the time I purchased everything for the kit the kit lost. But I still would not have the quality of a good kit build, of course with my abilities I not sure a kit build of mine would be a good kit build. But still yet I will build a kit just for the experience, hopefully with the help of someone with experience and be successful I hope.
