Completed: Airwild Extra 260 29%
I just put the finishing touches on my new Airwild Extra 260 and I am very pleased with how it came out!
Final balanced dry weight is 14.0 pounds! with 18 ounces of gas right on the cg it is Light!
some of the weight saving things I did were:
1. I machined my own aluminum engine stand offs with reduced diameter and the exact length needed
2. Wike R/C battery eliminator. just one battery for both the RX and the engine EI.
3. Used a slightly undersized tru-turn aluminum spinner (1/2 inch) saved a little weight, I think it still looks good.
I have worked out 3 different CG settings for it, all i have to do is swap batteries out to change the CG a little bit.
Now all I need is this snow to melt, it has an RCG 50cc engine with the stock muffler. turns a Menz 22X8 right about 7000 RPM.
