PWRDrill:

This will be my third 50cc gas. I have a Wildhare Extra 300, powered by a DA-50R with JR 8611a's on the control surfaces and I also have an Extreme Flight YAK 54 also with DA-50R and 8611a's. You'll love the gas plane especially if you do 3D. Once you fly the MX2 you will not want to go back to glow power. While the cost of a gas plane is high, you'll realize a lot of cost savings in fuel. I estimate that in the two years I have been flying gas planes that I have saved about $800-900 in fuel comparing glow fuel cost to gas. A gallon of gasoline costs one-tenth the price of premium glow and lasts a lot longer. I also use A123 batteries and they are great for this application. I have two 2300 mah A123 packs for the RX/servos and one for the ignition. I get a lot of flight time out of them and they recharge in ten minutes. If you want to read about these batteries go to www.hangtimes.com and you will get a lot of useful information.
