RE: hinge tape
Heres how the combat foam wings we used to fly did it.
Place a thin shim (cereal box thickness) on the top of the TE. Place the aileron (beveled to the top) on the shim (as in rotated full up all the to laying on the wing) apply tape.
Rotate the aileron to full down apply tape.
One tape application may be enough for foamies.
