How do you control the volume level?
On a hen long tank this is how it should be done First get a mini AMP with adjustable gain ( Volume cntrol) with a HL tank you would solder the speaker wires into the amps INPUT connections make sure the HL tanks Volume is set all the way off.
Now when it's all hooked up and ready to go turn the amps volume up like 1/2 the way or so to start and then adjust the tanks volume so you hear the cleanest clearest sound coming out of the speaker.... You do not want to turn the tanks volume up very loud because a AMPS input signal should be low other wise if it's to loud the input signal the sound that comes out will be distorted and not clear... SO that said it's better to have the tanks volume low and use the amps volume to make it louder... again though you do not want to probably go past 3/4 vol on the amp or it will be distorted.
Hope this helps.
Thanks for the detailed answer, that sounds relatively straight forward to do. Did you try the new Amp with HL speaker?
