Default RE: LT 40 conversion

This is the way I did it...For me, it was easier to take off and land as a taildragger. I'm glad I switched it...

Buy .40 sized landing gear, mount it at the leading edge of the wing (make sure to add internal support). I moved my elevator control horn over from center (so the tailwheel wire would not rub), ran tailwheel wire up to rudder. I re-hinged rudder (remember to use new hinges and make new slots, do not reuse the old slots), and bent tailwheel wire into the rudder. Don't forget to add reinforcement on the bottom of the fuse where the tailwheel will come out.

Forgot to add, make sure you locate the wire gear where the rudder connects to the vertical stab (right at the rudder hinge), otherwise your control throw may be off.

Now go have some fun
