Default RE: Royal P51 kit

scale only 4 me,
I built the sister ship to the HOB 1/2A mustang- the 1/2A ME109. It made a spectacular "arrival" one day and is no more[X(]. Did the plans that came with the p51 have the me109 plans on the reverse side? Both kits had the exact same contents except for the decal sheet and the box art was obviously different. Nice little flyers, real hot-rod with a .15 up front! Abit too tedious to detail that scale for me as well!!

I choose the 325th Checkertail colors 'cause it's the group my grandfather flew with in the war. The model is as close as I could reasonably get to an exact representation to his A/C using photos from his photo album as references. Had a custom dry-transfer decal set done using my artwork for the A/C name, canopy script, and nomenclature. Checks, star/bar and "27" are paint.

RonLondon,
Thanks for the kuddo's, (see above) building this one was really a labor of love and respect. yes, it's the same 65''WS Royal kit as you have. It was also way too advanced for my building skill when I started it. Had to put it aside for a while at 3/4 done due to military service. when I got back to it I had alot more planes/builds behind me and was not wanting to tackle all of the de-construction necessary to finish building it right, so it languished for years un-touched.
