Default RE: G38 Poor Throttle Response

ORIGINAL: crash080

I've got a new G38 with a C&H electronic ignition that I ran for the first time this afternoon and I'm having a bit of trouble with it. It starts just fine but has very limited throttle response even after it has warmed up. It runs well at about 1/2 throttle but will not respond as I open the throttle and dies if I start to close the throttle. I've reset the low and high end needle valves per the manual but with little effect. I'm scratching my head but not getting anywhere.

Any help is greatly appreciated.
Are you sure you have the spark plug cap all the way on.It goes on hard, push down with the heel of you hand and turn counter clockwise. When the cap is on correctly the wire snap ring will be all the way past the hex of the spark plug.No matter what the manual says open both needle a small amount. There is no such thing as a correct factory needle setting.
