Default RE: OLD DF

I had one of those and it is hanging up in a garage now. I loved this plane , it helped me to get ready for my bigger planes.

I had 219 flights on mine before the pull chord broke and then I moved on to my BVM Bandit.

This plane to fly well, needs a big hole cut in the bottom of the wing just in front of the fan unit , this is a must because all of the other holes still will not let enough smooth air to reach the blades.

I had a .18 engine running on 40% nitro, this setup I topped out a 62 milles per hour. I also install a plastic thrust tube to help guide the air out the back of the plane. I install light weight wheels and spead them apart to lower the back end to help with the takeoff. On takeoff, go for air speed first not altitude before you make a turn, after she gets going then let her rip.

Good luck

William
