Hi, yes exactly that. The car is a Condor Pro model: A3002, sorry cannot see any reference to an engine model. I have an instruction manual which appears to have everything in it except for the pull start. The engine as you said turns anti clockwise.

I can see no reference anywhere to shims etc. What I don't understand is that when he first had the car the pull start was working fine, I think maybe he pulled the start too hard and it would not recoil, but the shop said they had fixed this. I tried it twice, both short pulls, it recoiled the first time and stuck on the second attempt.

I was thinking that maybe something was sticking within the engine itself and maybe just needed lubricating?
