This is incorrect, Nitro runs cooler than methonal alone.
That is correct. It runs so cool that the AA fuel dragster engines do not even have a cooling jacket, nor cooling fins, the incoming charge of nitro and air is all of the cooling it needs.

That said when run lean nitro will detonate and overheat the engine much faster than a lean run on methanol
