RE: DLE30 rear induction conversion!
I'm running mine in a Pilot yak also. I never actually tried to see if the engine would do the tilt and die thing, I just wanted a reliable low idle. Before my best reliable idle was 1900-2000. Now 1600-1700 will putter all day. A plane that floats with a high idle sucks, so this makes me very happy
Before, if I throttled back abruptly, it would sometimes kill the engine, Now I can bounce the throttle up and down with nary a whimper. It seems like the Cyberplate makes the low speed needle less sensitive, and much easier to tune also.
I am running 100LL avgas in mine, as the local fuel is hit and miss. 7800 rpm on 19 by 8 Xoar.
With any luck, tomorrow will be a nice day, and I can actually fly it, I am sure the flame-out on landing will be gone.
Has anyone else found the low end easier to tune? or Is it just my imagination?
Thanks again Richard for a great product
Cheers
