Say Jody, what brand of carb comes standard on the DLE 30.

The original carb said Tillotson on it though Ralph insists it's not. The new ones have a different pump cover that says DLE on it, no other maker name on it anywhere and the part number on the front is different than the original. Walbro WT gasket and repair kits fit both carbs.

I say that because my carb supplier is V E Peterson in Ohio...
They sell all brands...They couldn't verify the HU134 number with Tillotson...
Only change I can see is the cast rear cover...

Hi guys, Tom and Jody sold me a combo with the new DLE 30 motor and I noticed the same thing plus one more little item about the carb and that is that the choke assembly on my motor was really tight and I had to use liquid graffite cable lube on it and turned it by hand 150 times to get it free enough so that a servo would operate the choke. Anyone experienced the same thing?

Hi, has anyone used the new rear carb conversion for the DLE30? how does it work? Can the carb be turned either way and still work properly?

I cannot answer for the DLE version but the Cyberplate version can and it runs fantastic! I imagine the DLE version runs similar, but I am not sure if it has the two holes for reversing the carb.

Just remove the 2 bolts holding carb & everything on to engine. If you see 2 pulse holes accrost from each other....it is indeed revesrable...and your 1/2 done!

Now while we are talking about the rear induction DLE30cc engine, I think I am going to make a ring out of 1/8 .125 thick aluminum plate and make a brace like the one below...that is now a thin white piece ofcardboard. You could also drill & tap this round plate to hold other things...like a choke rod support! What do you think? Capt,n

The carb on the new rear carbed DLE30 can indeed be installed in either position, the reed block and insulator can be turned either way as well.

I think I am going to flip the carb so the needles are on right side. That way I can adjust them from behind the prop with my right arm. I will solder a cut-off hex head from a bolt & use my long "T" handle to reach them through a small hole. May try a piece of fuel tubing slipped over each screw and use a long screw driver first.
