(If there was one mod I'd like to see done to this engine, it would be to install a nipple on that cover plate so we could run a tube back inside the fuselage or even to a static pitot fitting.)
I did this, and it DOES make a difference. With my Focus II there was serious engine sagging on outside maneuvers such as bunt loops, etc, but after the static nipple was installed the engine performance is the same in all attitudes.
YEp CM I just did it to mine, and on my other engines that sit in the air funny I use carb plates. I cant wait to get a good airframe for my engine. I just switched to synthetic oil after using regular dino oil for 1 gallon.
