A fitting end for an old friend
It won't stay lit in the wind and naptha does not have a very bright flame when burned that way. You'd have a better chance with rubber cement, it stays where you put it.
Make sure you have CO2 and water extinguishers on hand when you do it (CO2 for the plane and people, water for the weeds and bushes).
I'd light it while it's in the air with a model rocket igniter and have it on a safety that is attached to a string which is pulled after it taxis half way down the runway (good and far from you).
When you go hot (arm the circuit) have someone stand well behind you with the fire extinguisher.
This is all just conjecture and I wouldn't do it on a bet as the potential for something to go wrong is very great, especially when you loose control and have a burning out of control plane flying away. You'll probably get arrested by the fire marshal and have some type of pyromaniac charge on your criminal record but, hey, have fun!
And by all means videotape it and post it here for us to see.
