Continued Battery Life Problems
Alright, well for starters, I've been having some serious issues with the battery life of the receiver pack(s) in my XTM XT2.
I'm not exactly sure why but I cannot seem to get more than about 10 minutes out of the batteries for the receiver in my truggy. I've tried three different packs, and even bought some brand new 2800MAH rechargeable AA's and used a 4-piece AA receiver pack, in addition to 3 other 5-cell 2/3A packs. One was 1600MAH, another 1200, and the last one that didn't deliver was a 1000MAH.
I've been charging the packs as per recommended by the manufacturer on a Duratrax Piranha Digital Peak Charger. Charge rate of 1a. I did the forming charge as recommended as well.
What happens is after 10 minutes or so, the built-in low battery failsafe on my Futaba FASST system kicks in. This was never a problem before - it only started recently, and I've not changed any hardware.
Like I said, none of the packs, OR the AA's, seem to hold up for more than 10 mins. I don't know why.
The servos go from running perfect to just sluggish and pitiful. The change isn't gradual either. It's as if all the life drains out of the batteries all at once.
Is it possible one of the servos or one of the wires is grounding out or something? Would that cause this to happen? I haven't seen any burnt up or hot wires, though, so maybe not?
This is really driving me nuts. I'd really appreciate some help.
I'm gonna post this in the RX/TX forum as well, just since I'm not sure where this issue should be specifically posted.
