I will agree with MinnFlyer. You are the hobby shop's customer. Seems it would be in his best interests to simply replace the kit with a good one, if he can't make that one right. (HE) owes you a good kit, somehow. The beef would then be with him and his wholesaler to recoup his loss.
Although I"m disappointed in Raidentech attitude, I'm not surprised. The retailer can bring more pressure to bear on this wholesaler legally, then you can.
