Default RE: JMA Honnington event

Laura, I am a modeller, yes, but trucks and cars as opposed to aircraft. I have, however, been the subject of complaints from people living in the blocks about the noise when I use my cars and trucks on the old aircraft dispersal near the Fire Section. I allegedly disturbed some people sleeping off nights and have been "advised" shall we say, to ensure I don't disturb other people in the blocks. There are quite a few night and shift workers here who tend to complain very quickly when disturbed, so I was merely trying to let you know that it might be in your best interests to steer clear. I appreciate too that the brief stated that there was no flying before 10am, but I feel that you should be aware that a few people have already been complaining that flying started earlier than was stated (between 9 and 10am). The start time has not been the main gripe; whilst it did not particularly affect those already awake, off, or working a normal day, it does not detract from the fact that duty personnel also work nights here. For example, 2 firemen in my corridor are working nights currently and were extremely annoyed at having been kept awake. Not particularly fair when you are working 12 hours on, 12 hours off and trying to sleep during the day. The complaints I have heard since Saturday are not generally related to the timings of the day, more the noise noticable in the blocks from the apparent unusual proximity. Personally, living in one of the furthest blocks away from where you guys normally fly and seeing where some of the jets appeared to be, I have to agree. If you are as frequent a visitor to Honington as I suspect, you will know that the regular flyers never seem to venture too far south down the runway.

Look , I am not a forum troll, I am honestly not trying to pick a fight with anyone here, this is meant as friendly advice from someone who has fallen foul of killjoys here before, so no offence was intended, but take it as you will.
