You'd get more than 2 minutes out of it but you won't be happy. If you are just getting in there's no reason to go nimh. It would be cheaper and more fun to go lipo. I'd get a lipo shield to protect the batts I'm sure tower has them also. OSE also, at about 5 days shipping. Send the nimh back.
