Some people are saying 5-7 minutes... but you are going to need 2 packs.

As per Towerhobbies.com

Requirements:
6-Cell Battery Packs: Two with Dean's Ultra connectors

2000mah packs will give you about 2 minutes run time. You will need two connected in series....better yet get higher capacity Lipos.

You'd get more than 2 minutes out of it but you won't be happy. If you are just getting in there's no reason to go nimh. It would be cheaper and more fun to go lipo. I'd get a lipo shield to protect the batts I'm sure tower has them also. OSE also, at about 5 days shipping. Send the nimh back.

your runtimes will be more than 5min but you will only have about 20amps cont. from them..
these motors can pull over 60amps
