RE: AMT 180 PROBLEMS
I appreciate what you are trying to do, but I would suggest to box it all up and send to John at U.S. Microjets and let him take it to his shop where magic is performed and you get back a top notch smoooooth running engine. I like to tinker and work on my stuff too !!! , but when it comes to a mechanical device that turns at 150K rpm, I tend to leave that to the pro's. I was with a friend of mine several years ago when he was " Tinkering with his RAM 1000 " in his hanger, and when that baby came unglued at 123K, It was beyond belief !!!! Knocked all the dust out of the rafters and made a hell of a racket !!!!! But I have to admit that the engine worked as advertised.... All the disingrated parts did come out the exhaust cone !!! The Turbine wheel was in 5 or 6 pieces.
Good luck !!!
