Most people run a separate battery on the Seiko. You can do it the way you state but make sure you check the batteries every flight, especially the one with the Seiko. You want to know if its sticking and drawing too much current. The TurboReg will draw from both batteries or 1 if the other battery gets about 0.1V lower.
