Default 1/8 scale drift? Please help...

Hi, I have been rc'ing for years, however I have never tried drifting. I was at the park sunday flying my Trex and a group of young guys showed up and started drifting around the this sidewalk that twists all over the place. It looked like a blast. I went home and had to resist the urge to run down to the hobby shop and get an HPI sprint 2 drift (I had seen it earlier) Anyway I got to thinking (oh oh) And all of my surface rc's are 1/8 scale. So I started thinking maybe a brushless inferno gt or ofna and then I found one of these: http://www.ofna.com/late-model-dirt-oval.php Ofna dirt oval brushless brand new. I have a Novak HV 6.5 Pro system sitting here. The only bias on the car is 15mm offset hubs for turning left, I have a standard set of buggy hubs and a radio sitting here. I would need to find drift tires and get a nice 8 scale car body. I think it sounds nice, but I have never drifted and I don't even know that my idea is even conceivable or is there a reason I don't see 8 scale drift cars? And/or would I be better off using a touring car platform instead?
Sorry for the long post, I just figured you guys would be the ones to ask. Thank you kindly in advance. Jay
