RE: Revolver maiden
I had a Ripmax Rapier flying wing. It was a rocket with an OS 50 SX. Very nice flying plane, very responsive and very fast. I learned quickly that I had to make long approaches and judge where I wanted to land it because it doesn't have landing gear..it has a long skid on the bottom. So, you have to set the prop so that it stops on the compression stroke and is horizontal or parallel with the wings. Then, you bring it in, and at about 20 feet, kill the engine and hope your landing was what you intended it to be. Fun..
We clocked it using a police RADAR gun at 121.5 mph and that was with the standard prop. We could get more out of it, but I was satisfied. And, I was very impressed as to how easy it was to fly.. the roll-rate was incredible!!!
