Impulse,
I think you need to be honest with yourself about your abilities.

The Dazzler (or one of the profile planes) is probably capable of faster turns, rolls, loops, "twitchier" flight in general than the Sportster. But I'd guess that it's capable of much more than you are, or will be soon.

The Sportster is still plenty aerobatic, can probably do most of what the Dazzler can do, but more slowly, smoothly. It will also most likely fly ANY stunt you'll be capable of doing for the next year or so.

Again, be honest about your ability AND what you want. If you imagine youself doing violent, non-scale 3D manuevers, then get a fun-fly type plane. If you think you can take the time to learn to fly with precision and accuracy, then go with the Sportster.

Personally, I think you should learn to fly accurately first. It makes 3D flight more precise and much better looking. What most people don't realize is, the best 3D pilots learned to fly pattern type manuevers first, then "morphed" those manuevers into 3D. (3D started at the Tournament of Champions, which IS 75% pattern style aerobatics.)
