I really need help deciding
you have only been flying 3 months and you age getting a quest!!? if you have a bit more power and have much bigger control surfaces, you will be able to hover indefinatly. my thrust/weight ratio is 130%, so i can rocket out of hovers now. you need about 115% in order for you not to loose altitude when you correct for unwanted gyrations. when you only have prop wash going over your control surfaces, a lot of deflection is not the answer. you ned bigger control surfaces. while they may have the same effect, at lower speeds, larger control surfaces with less deflection will have more effect than smaller control surfaces with masive deflection. The reason is that a lot of deflection at low speeds causes so much turbulance over an already almost usless surface, that you will just stall. A larger control surface will generate the same amount of pressure, but you don't need as much deflection. With your quest, you may be able to hover, but you will not have large enough control surfaces to allow you to keep hovering there. ailerons have no effect when you are in a hover.
