Well the alloy that the crankcase is made out of gas welds quite well with 5356 alloy filler wire. Now I have to decide if i want to weld my own carburetor plate on the intake port. Hmmmmmm, descisions descisions.

I guess I'll have to decide how far I want to take it. I am also drawing up some plans to modify the crankshaft, The current setup has a huge diameter crankshaft. It appears to be about the same hardness all the way through the crank, so reducing the diameter I think would be worthwhile for weight savings.
