From the picture you posted, the red "+" in the center corresponds to the battery red positive lead and the "-" is for the battery black negative. Most batteries follow this standard. If not, they may be marked with a "+" on one side and a "-" on the other side. Either way, hook the battery up that way.

The servos, most servos (there are some exceptions) the red is "+" and the black is "-". The signal line is the one on the left in the picture, closest to the center of the receiver, and matches up with the servo white (Futaba), blue (Airtronis), or yellow (Spektrum/JR). Others follow a pretty similar standard for a different color for the signal wire with the usual red/black or red/brown for the "+" and "-" leads.

Hook them up that way and you won't have any problems.

You need a crystal for that receiver, by the way. You will need one from the people that manufactured that receiver. One from a different source just won't work.
