Default BME,3W, or DA?

Some guys don't really care to use any exhaust setup but the little in cowl spouts- and for some setups -they work well -
I have yet to see any gasser which does not improve somewhat -with a header and a correctly matched muffler OR muffled can OR tuned can OR tuned pipe.
I can smell a comparison coming up with various new 100 size twin engines - and I will bet money - some putz will insist that all comparisons be done with the same mufflers.
That would be a BIG mistake for the buyers of any of em.
Each mfgr has his own thoughts as to what the customer wants -
And if you asked all of the buyers of 100 size engines what they considered the most important feature of a new 100 - you would get some very different answers.
Ideally it would be the least expensive - lightest ,easiest starting smoothest running, most durable - cheapest and quickest to fix, and have the most power .on the least expensive smallest mufflers that are the most quiet ---
What are the chances of all of that
happening?
Great?
Maybe?
Are you kidding?
Oh yes -it would also be the smallest package.
All of the recent engines are all special purpose designed throughout
Very few conversion engines - Tho
some of them are very good.
I mentioned 9 features.
Lets say -you wanted them all
In what order would you rate their importance?
The life of an engine designer ain't easy --
