Do 5 break-in cycles on each battery not exceeding 50% capacity and limited or no full throttle ops. Check the mah you put into the batteries each time (obey the clock). To monitor each flight I added an Eagletreesystems data logger.
Good idea, but limiting the throttle is not the best way to limit the load on the lipos. The ESC is a high frequency switch, and the reduced amps you see from an inline ampmeter (or Eagletree) are reflective of averaging. If your setup is 50 amps at full throttle, at 50% throttle, the ampmeter might read 25 amps, but that is an average. The ESC is pulsing the motor at 50 amps. You need to reduce prop size such that full throttle amps are 3-5C to truly reduce the load on the lipos. I have a test stand that I use for break-in on lipos, and use a variety of props to achieve the amp level I want.
