Default RE: Been quiet on the ole conversion board..

I picked an engine out of the trash heap that is real interesting. It is in the neighborhood of 40 cc, bearings on both side of the crank, all roller bearings, and the mag is shot. The crank extensds on both sides, but one side is small and week and unusable. The other side
which is the flywheel side will take a hub very nicely and I have produced a hub for it. The only problem is that the intake is on the prop side of the engine. I am wondering what effect if any will this have on preformance. Is it a possibility that this might act a supercharger as the RPM increases. Has anyone had any experience with this set-up? I am kinda tied up at present getting the yard and garden in shape for the summer, but will be back working on it is a couple weeks. Thanks for any info. Flathead 4
