Just to close out this thread. I received an email from Futaba service with advice on the settings required to get a 3-position flap function on my 7C. Of course, this being my first computer type radio (actually, my first Futaba radio since the mid 70's) it took a few emails back and forth to get me squared away. As soon as I gave Futaba the correct aircraft setup information they came right back with the programming steps needed.
