Some apps just dont work with W7. Depending on the version of 7 you have...you may be able to download the free Virtual XP for 7.

Any older apps I have that dont play nice with 7, I install them on my Virtual XP (XPMode).

Note: I dont mean install them by right clicking on the .exe and selecting a compatibility mode. I mean install them on a Virtual XP that runs on your 7. Also, not all computers will be beefy enough to run virtual XP.
