up to 43 the grizzlys where cast hulls with a thicker casting and after 43 they produced a few long track steel hull grizzlys with thicker frontal armour but most where converted to the 17 pounder but a few where left with the 75mm gun i have a few pics of the later grizzlys but there are no exact numbers on how many where made all standard track steel hulls where shermans and all tanks used by the canadian army where equiped with CDP tracks except for the hvss tanks
if you look at the rear pics the tank has a rear gun barrel suport with would have made it a 17 pounder look like it was field salvaged refitted with another turret after battle damage
I have a book on Canadian Shermans, and I can assure you that not all Canadian Shermans had the CDP tracks. There are mulitple pictures of Sherman tanks in the Canadian army that are running the rubber block tracks. All Grizzly tanks may have had CDP tracks, but most Shermans in use in the second world war used by the Canadians used the standard tracks.
