my dad allways said you never have too much gas unless your on fire. 24 oz will give you plenty of flight time. I believe a 26 cc engine used somewhere around 1oz per minute at full throttle
My 25/26 cc engines burn about .75 oz /minute (similar to a .46 glow engine). A 24 oz tank will give you around 32 minutes of run time (maybe double that if you manage throttle), so you can fuel up at home and not need to carry any extra fuel to the field, since you are already carrying it in the plane.
