Ok, so I looked around on the RCU forums for an answer to the next question, but I was not able to find one, so here is my question:
What is the proper timing for the Evolution 26GX gas motor?
I have converted my 26GX ignition to a Syssa CDI which states most motors have a 28-30 degree BTDC timing, but this seems really advanced to me.
Evo's manual for the 26GX is lacking in the area of timing, so I hope someone out there in RCU land can shed some light on the matter for me. The only reference to timing is a ''Preignition point'' of 5 degrees.
Thanks!

You say you converted it to a Syssa CDI, Which I beleive is a RCexl ignition, So it makes no difference what Evolution engines say's to set it to, You are not using there ignition.
I am going to set it at 28 BTDC and see what happens.
Anyone else use a Syssa ignition out there?
