It is the Nexus. I removed the engine and pulled down the starter shaft and clutch. I am brand new to this so I had no idea what the clutch was at the time, but I new the starter shaft was shot. When the shaft arrived and I went to replace everythin ie. engine, clutch, and starter I figured I would make sure the screws were tight. That was when I noticed that the shoe(s) was loose and the screws were not too tight. I thought that might be by design because of the manner in which a clutch works, but thought I would ask anyway.

Regarding the shoe itself. I either have two shoes or I have one shoe that has cracked in half and looks like two shoes held by one screw each. I do not have a manual, hence the question. Is my shoe broken in two or are there two shoes in a Nexus clutch. Thanx in advance for your patience and response.
