Do like I did. There are no pilot trainers within an hours drive from me so I bought a simulator, Real Flight. I spent 1 month on it before I attempted to solo. The sim helped me a great deal. It is not like real world flying but it will prepare you for the basics maneuvers. I bet I did 1000s of touch and goes before I soloed.
I was able to fly from day one, the only adverse thing was I was so jacked up that it was flying around at full speed for 5 minutes before I remembered I had a throttle on the plane.
