RE: Custom IDF M-41
Nice paint job. The driver's periscopes look like they are still pointing a bit upwards. You can use some heat shrink to add rubber to the road wheels. I used rubber CA glue to create the rubber pads on my plastic tracks and truck bed liner to paint on the pads on the metal tracks. The steel gears are awesome, but heavy. I'm planning to drop in some 3:1 steel gears with a 480 motor. I recommend upgrading the springs in the rear struts to eliminate the back-end sag and adding weight to the front end to improve traction and eliminate some of the bounce.
I like the idea of using Tamiya Pershing swing arms to add better road wheels and metal swing arms. However, the cost becomes very prohibitive. If you can find someone that will cast the existing plastic swing arms in metal, that would be a great upgrade.
