Default RE: JetCat P-80 outer shell dent

Guillermo,

I just tore my turbine down this week and I would wait to hear from matt for an official resonse. What would worry me is the the AIRFLOW restriction due to the size of that dent. Did you notice the temps when you started your turbine? I would think it might run a lil hot. I don't think a replacement can would be that expensive. If not to your could easily remove the turbine from the outside shell and bang that back into a shape.

There is a pretty good size gap between the combustion chamber and the outer shell.. the air does flow through there though.

If you look in the forums for TURBINE TEARDOWN or TURBINE MAITENANCE there is a youtube video link of a ram750 or TJT 750 size turbine.. The teardown is very close to jetcats and your not gonna disamble the compressor or rear fan.. that is all one assembly and will slide out of the shell in 1 piece and allow you to work on the shell.

Hope this has helped some.

Sean
