As Sean indicates, it is a question of the flow. I have seen dents this big, but not that close to the EGV. Also, at temperature, the stability of the EGV is very important to maintaing good rear bearing life. This is just a very hard call to make. I would have it fixed, but Bob Wilcox has seen 100 turbines for every one I have seen and he might have a different call on this one.
