As mentioned on the 12FG you can just change the steps on the trim.

The only issue with a kill switch is you can accidentally activate it during flight[X(]

On the 12FG you go to the "Linkage Menu", and then go to the second page and select "T1 - T6" settings and set T3 for 100
This will give you four steps from low to high trim.
