Firefox has spell-check built in. Those who wish to communicate properly (but lack spelling skills) would do well to switch browsers. The rest don't care. They'll ignore the little red squiggles and post gibberish, whether the feature is available or not.
I have also surmised there might be a relationship between correct grammar/spelling and the number of recent 12oz curls performed. But I'm no English major myself.
If you're a real perfectionist, open another tab with Word or some other program with a spell checker, then just copy and paste into your post! This also helps keep a lengthy post from timing out your internet connection with RCU.
