the idle screw should usually be set so there is a 1mm(had a engine that needed a teeny bit more) gap in the carb. One of the few settings I found should be the same engine to engine
As SyCo stated, the idle isn't a matter of turns, but opening on the carburator. take the air filter off, then turn clock wise to open the gap or counterclockwise to close it. the thickness of a credit card is .9 to 1mm
