Default RE: lacking power - prather funcruiser

ORIGINAL: mhl1999

Hi there
I'm new here. I have a Prather Funcruiser Homelite 30 with a modified watercooled cylinder and modified card with free air-intake. I use regular gaz octane 95 with 2 % oil. I can't seem get it pulling right. It looses power very quickly. On the carb is a screw marked ''L'' and a screw marked ''H''.

Do anyone have a suggestion to what is wrong

Thank you!

A couple of things I'm concerened about in your post.

First you don't have enough oil in the mix. I would sugest at least 8 ounces to each US gallon.
Second the octane ratings may be computed diffrent in Denmark compared to the US but higher octane fuel is not needed with this engine.

Now best I can remember the carb settings should be 2.5 turns out on the High and 1.5 out on the Low

Not knowing the condition of the carb. I would start by taking it off the engine and rebuilding it. The rebuild kits are fairly cheap and easy to work with.

Hope this helps,
Leo
