Oh, sounds like an ARF, not a kit...that's why I hadn't heard of it.

The new skid is a really tough piece of music wire attached the the stump of the former skid with copper wire and JB Weld. It should hold up very well. It gives much more of a contact surface with the ground than the old stump did. I really hope it smooths out the take off run because it was almost impossible as it was. If this works, I'll have a very good airplane...no problems once in the air.
